VN-rapport over islamofobie
De Organisatie van de Islamitische Conferentie (OIC), die 57 islamitische landen verenigt en ressorteert onder de VN, publiceerde zopas z'n eerste islamofobie-monitor.
Het rapport ziet de islamofobie in Europa toenemen, en leidt dat ondermeer af uit de demarche van Geert Wilders en zijn film 'Fitna', de actie 'Stop Islamisering' van het Vlaams Belang, of het hoofddoekenverbod in sommige Belgische steden.
Het rapport moet voortaan maandelijks verschijnen, en is als pdf te downloaden hier.

Adolf Hitler realized the importance of having a good press. In Nazi Germany with its press censorship, it was easy for Hitler to have a good press. However, during the 1930s the Nazis also tried to control the media in the neighboring European countries that Hitler was planning to invade and submit. The Nazis bullied the democratically elected governments in these countries to censor everything that resembled what today might be called “Naziphobia” – criticism of Nazism.
